Q: Can I include my company logo and branding in an advertisement?
A: Yes. Premium adverts allow you to upload your graphics in either a JPG or GIF format. The graphics should be 600 pixels wide and no more than 20kb in size.

Q: I have filled my vacancy and want to stop my advertisement before the expiry date, is that possible?
A: Yes. You can use the employer’s login button to manage all your adverts and stop or renew them if required.

Q: I have forgotten my password, what should I do?
A: Go to the employer’s log in page and type your email address in the forgotten password box. We will then send you a reminder of your password. Once logged in you can set a more memorable password.

Q: How will candidates contact me?
A: You can provide as many appropriate contact details as you wish. The minimum requirement is an email address. This however, remains hidden from view and candidates email you via an Apply On-line button.

Q: I don’t want to read through a lot of unsuitable CVs, will you select some for me?
A: We offer a candidate-filtering feature that you can tailor to your requirements. You can then decide to read ALL CVs emailed to you or just select those who meet your specific criteria such as minimum 3 years’ experience or qualified to a certain level.

Q: What happens when I purchase a CV?
A: When payment for a CV has been taken the candidates contact details will be visible to you when you next look at their CV. You will also receive an email containing the candidate’s CV and contact details along with a separate email as a receipt.

Q: I have not received any CVs by email – what should I do?
A: Check to make sure you have entered a valid email address and that your spam filter will allow emails from Land-Force through. You may have to look for the 'Whitelist' settings and check your spam folder regularly for emails from Land-Force.

Q: I have purchased a CV but the candidate is not interested in the vacancy/is no longer available – can I have a refund?
A: No. We cannot guarantee suitability or availability. We price our CVs very competitively and also insist that Candidates ‘check-in’ every 4 weeks to tell us they are still seeking employment. If they fail to do this, their CV is removed from the site.

Q: Do I need to register with Land-Force.com before placing an advertisement?
A: No. Unlike other websites there is no requirement to register with us before placing an advertisement. However once you have placed your first advert, registration will occur automatically. This provides you with a password allowing you to access your own personal account if you wish.

Q: I don’t see any suitable vacancies – can I send you my CV?
A: What you need to do is advertise your CV on our website using the Submit CV feature. Employers will then be able to view your CV and contact you directly once they have purchased your CV.

Q: How long can I leave my CV up for?
A: You will receive a reminder by email to renew your CV to the Land-Force site after 30 days. If you do not resubmit your CV will not be shown, as it will be assumed that you have found employment and are no longer available for work.

Q: I don’t like the idea of my name and address being made public. How can I get around this?
A: Your CV is available for anyone to view but your name, address and contact details are only visible to employers purchasing your CV.

Q: I made a mistake on my CV – can I correct it?
A: Yes. Login using your email and password. You can then edit your CV from the edit CV page.

Q: Will you contact me if a suitable position comes up?
A: You can subscribe to our e-alerts service that will email you when new vacancies appear matching your criteria.

Q: I have sent my details to an advertiser but have had no response – what should I do?
A: Please make sure your spam filter will allow emails from Land-Force through. You may have to look for the 'Whitelist' settings and check your spam folder regularly for emails from employers. We cannot guarantee a response from advertisers and would suggest that you try contacting them again.

Q: Where do my details go when I apply on-line?
A: Your details go directly to the advertiser concerned. If you are new to Land-Force we create an account so that you can return and apply for further vacancies or advertise your CV on-line.

Q: Do I need to register with Land-Force.com before applying for advertised positions?
A: No. Unlike some websites we do not require registration in order for you to apply for jobs.
