We are currently looking to recruit a Woodland Surveyor to survey over 4000 ha of Ancient Woodland and Plantations on Ancient Woodland in South Wales. The survey aims to provide a baseline record of the condition of the woodlands with a view to planning long-term restoration of semi-natural habitats.
Your will be degree qualified and have experience of the following:
- Woodland habitat surveying
- Botanical identification
- Tree and shrub identification
- Awareness or experience of silvicultural practices
- Identification of deer browsing effects
- GIS mapping
In addition you will need to be self motivated and enjoy outdoor working.
